The communal heating system in Herbert Hill is supplied with a natural gas connection for the generation of heating and hot water. Unfortunately, we have seen significant and sustained rate increases in commercial gas costs and we now need to implement a rate increase to compensate for this. While we have been in a position to avoid any rate increases in the last 24 months, we are now left with no other option but pass to on this increase to you as a customer of the system.
Effective from 1st September 2022 the new rates will be as follows:
- Heat & Hot Water Usage (per kWh) €0.279 (increased from €0.081)
- Daily Standing charge €0.71 (No Change)
We appreciate that these increases to our customers will be unwelcome however due to the general inflationary pressures and geopolitical events unfolding it is unavoidable.
